Marriage of Convenience Romances That Are Hotter Than Insta-Romances

Who loves a little arranged marriage romance? I don't know about you, but I eat this trope, I survive by reading marriage of conveniences. They are just so wholesome (kinda) I love them. Maybe also because this the trope most likely going to happen to me. I am fine with that, totally. Because of course, I am going to get a husband like the guys in one of these books:

Terms and Conditions by Lauren Asher

Ah, the TikTok favourite. I will be honest here, this was not my favourite, I liked the first book The Fine Print more. But still, Terms and Conditions was a great book. It had a badass female lead, a grumpy boss, lots of sexual tension, and lots of brotherly ribbing. And of course, lots of money. Declan Kane have to have a heir within one year to be able to lay claim to his grandfather's property. And this man just doesn't care. His assistant is tired of setting him up with girls only to watch him blow it all up one way or another. What to do now? Why, marry the assistant, of course!

Some other tropes in Terms and Conditions: grumpy-sunshine, workplace-romance, billionaire-romance.

Marriage For One by Ella Maise

Hot, grumpy lawyer recently dumped by his fiancee proposes a contract marriage to a wannabe owner of a bakery shop. Of course, our girl agrees. He is hot, and she needs that shop. A play on Jack and Rose, but this the ship sails to Happy Ever After. Read this cute, sexy romance that will make you giggle like a teenager because Jack is The Dream Guy.

Some other tropes in Marriage For One: grumpy-sunshine, he-falls-first, age-gap (but quite small).

Brutal Prince by Sophie Lark

Mafia romance with a hot-headed boss and his even more hot-headed bride-to-be. In the battle of wills, who will be the winner? The answer is both. Aida has to marry the guy whose house she had (accidentally) set fire to. Callum really doesn't want to marry the girl who is so wild and unpredictable that you will get a whiplash trying to track her. But what choice do they have? It's marriage or war. Although this marriage is also a war in itself: a hot, passionate war that ends up with love stronger than any other. Read this book (and the whole series) for some really hot romances of all tropes.

Some other tropes in Brutal Prince: age-gap, i-have-brothers, badass-bitch.

Bound by Honor by Cora Reilly

Another mafia romance where a fifteen-year-old is engaged to the son of the rival mafia. Luca is the man they say have no heart. Luca is the man they say can kill a person with his bare hands. Luca is the man who will never let his wife go. Aria, on the other hand, is the sweet babygirl who is determined to make her scary husband fall in love with her so she can have her Happy Ever After, against all odds. Read this filthy, hot, dark romance and fall in love with some more mafia daddies.

Some other tropes in Bound by Honor: age-gap, hates-everyone-but-her, grumpy-sunshine.

Roomies by Christina Lauren

Romcoms never go wrong with Christina Lauren. These two girlies know how to write the best romcoms - be it enemies to lovers, next door guy, single parent romance, second chances romance, anything. This marriage-of-convenience starts with a street musician Calvin who has a hold on Holland since the moment she first heard and then saw him. His talent is undeniable and Holland's Broadway music director needs a very talented musician ASAP. Who better than our dear old Calvin. The catch? He doesn't have a visa. So now Holland makes it her mission to get Calvin a green card while not letting him know just how down bad she is for him (or has been for months). A funny, wholesome, and hot romance right here!

Some other tropes in Roomies: age-gap, she-fell-first-but-he-fell-harder, dude-is-the-sunshine.

Painted Scars by Neva Altaj

Or, really, the whole series Perfectly Imperfect. Every book in this series is marriage of convenience, every book has mafia daddies, and every book has panty-melting romance. It starts off with Roman Petrov, who had an accident and is in a wheelchair and needs an heir fast to keep his hold as the Pakhan of Bratva. Enter Nina Grey, a doesn't-know-when-to-shut-up artist cum actress (unofficially) whose father had three million debt from the Bratva. The spice starts off low and then grows exponentially with every book of this series. (Especially book 4 omg I am turned on just thinking about it!)

Some other tropes in Perfectly Imperfect: age-gap, huge-guy-tiny-girl, mafia-romance.

From Blood And Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Considering I read this one two years ago, I do not exactly remember how this was a marriage of convenience. But since I added it to that tag, there must be some marriage of convenience here and there. What I DO remember though: insanely hot chemistry (and then sex) between the guard and his princess. Peak forbidden romance with a fantasy world with vampires (called Vamprys here) and zombies (called Craven). Blood and Ash series is remembered in my head by its filthy hot scenes and elaborate cast and engaging plotlines. I demand every fantasy reader here to inhale Casteel Da'Neer and Poppy as soon as you get the chance because these two are the definition of chemistry.

Some other tropes in From Blood And Ash: badass-bitch, forbidden-romance, fantasy.
